Anglers Catching Piebald Blue Catfish
in Blog by Travis Fillmen
An increasing number of blue catfish with piebaldism are being caught across the nation. Over the past decade, more and more anglers are photo documenting and reporting their catches of piebald fish. Many of the fish affected by this condition are being caught along the waterways spanning from Florida to Texas, north to Tennessee. This mutation is not limited to just freshwater, as a piebald blacktip spinner shark was also caught off the coast of Texas.
