Do you have an upcoming aquatic-themed party for an aquarium-obsessed friend, significant other, or family member? Leith Christensen describes her husband as being “a little obssessed with saltwater aquariums”, a phrase many of us have heard for sure. For his birthday, she registered him for dive classes to get Scuba certified, and made him this amazing cake!
Leith made a standard 13 x 9 sheet cake, using it as the base. She then found a recipe for sugar glass which formed the sides of the tank. The treasure chest is made out of mini Twix bars, and green Twizzlers for the glass. Leith suspended Swedish Fish from the craft paper that formed the lid, and voila – one aquarium cake.
